At this year’s general assembly on 8 July, the focus was on the review of the previous year’s achievements. The EuroExpert general assembly, held in Vienna and hosted by the Hauptverband der allgemein beeideten und gerichtlich zertifizierten Sachverständigen Österreichs saw representatives from across Europe, from the north, south, east and west, come together in this quintessential European city. The previous year’s activities were reviewed, with particular focus on the Findex II project. The conclusion of Findex II took place in February 2024 in Paris, just a couple of months after the submission of the Findex III application, which was made in September 2023. While the dedication of EuroExpert and its members to Findex II was instrumental in the project’s success, it is also crucial to acknowledge the other accomplishments achieved in the previous year. The remuneration study was conducted and its results documented in an overview. Additionally, experts were continuously nominated to courts across the EU and input was provided on the EU E-Justice Action Plan 2024-2028. In anticipation of the forthcoming challenges and opportunities, we are pleased to welcome both familiar and new faces. At the recent General Assembly, Matthias Rant was re-elected as Chairman, while Murielle Eyletters as new President of ABEX was elected to the council in replacement for Francisco Gomes from the APAE. Additionally, Martin Cupal, Komora soudních znalců ČR, was appointed to the council, filling the position previously held by Vladimír Kulil. We would like to extend a warm welcome to the new council members. The General Assembly is a fitting illustration of EuroExperts’ European roots an the value of its work in fostering connections between expert associations across the continent.
